Because most buyers would want the living and dining areas between the kitchen and outdoor patio, we moved the furniture around and added a few more pieces so buyers wouldn’t be confused. |

Don’t have the time or money to replace dated wallpaper? It’s not ideal to leave wallpaper, but you can make the best of it with staging. Because the wallpaper creates a lot for the buyers to take in, reduce all other clutter in the room. Use nuetral furnishings with just a hint of the wallpaper color in the accessories. And increase the light with open draperies and lamps. |

Don’t have the time or money to replace dated carpet? First, declutter. The carpet is enough of a distraction that all other distractions need to be minimized. Second, make all of the other surfaces and large furniture pieces as nuetral as possible. Here the seller was willing to remove wallpaper and bring in some nuetral furniture. Third, use modern accessories in the carpet color. In both of these rooms, beautiful throw pillows did the trick. |
