Master bedrooms should feel a little more grand than the rest of the bedrooms. One easy way to do this is to have 2 nightstands with 2 substantial lamps. These before and after photos show how much of a difference it makes!
Should you stage in a hot market? If houses are selling in just a day or two, does it make sense to spend money and time preparing your home for sale? We are a staging company, so we are, of course, a firm believer that staging brings stronger, higher offers whether the market is hot or not. But we will let the pictures speak for us, with some typical things a buyer might say:
Before
“I like the house, but we would have to spend a lot of money to update the kitchen.”
After
“Oh, this house is going to sell fast, we need to make a good offer!”
Before
“This house is just not my style.”
After
“Look at how big and bright this living room is.”
Here is another room from the apartment building model units we staged in the last post:

AFTER
This before and after is from the same home as the previous post. We suggested removing wallpaper and clutter and adjusting the furniture layout.

Avoid putting rugs over carpets. Buyers may think you are hiding stains or worn carpet. This before and after was from a recent occupied staging. We also gave advice to remove the wallpaper and draperies, paint a neutral color and replace lighting.
