Here is another room from the same home as the last post.  We did suggest they paint the bold walls here and turn the function of the space back into the formal dining room it was originally intended.

If you have a room with a really bold color and don’t have time to repaint it a neutral color, this tip will help you.  Because the homeowner had so much other painting to do that was more important, we suggested leaving this bathroom red.  Then we brought in art with reds and added white towels and shower curtain to keep the room light.  In a bedroom, you could add white or ivory draperies and bedding and a light piece of art over the bed.  We would not suggest using this tip for main living areas; they should always be lighter neutrals.
